Jordan Shoenberger
Executive Director
Jordan is a strategic and thoughtful nonprofit leader who has over a decade of experience working in social services and nonprofits. Starting as a caseworker at TRAC Services for Families, he moved through various supervisory roles, before moving onto Jeremiah’s Place, where he most recently served as their Director of Operations and Development. Jordan has a heart for working with children and families in the community, ensuring that they have what they need to succeed and find some level of independence in their lives.
Jordan and his wife served as foster parents for many years, fostering many children between birth and 18 years of age. They have four children. Jordan is a native of the South Hills and currently resides in Brookline where he coaches peewee soccer. Jordan is a member of Pittsburgh Mennonite Church. When he isn’t working, Jordan loves to listen to music, play board games, and consume anything Star Wars related.
Meghan Carpenter
Program Coordinator
Meghan Carpenter is a graduate from the University of Pittsburgh with a Master's in Public Administration. She also holds Bachelor's Degrees in Psychology and Sociology. Meghan is a native of the South Hills of Pittsburgh. In her time with Abiding Missions, she has loved getting to know the people of Allentown and spending time with the children who attend our programs. In her free time, Meghan is an avid video game player, often leaving work to play games the rest of the day. You can find her a few days a week opening the Starbucks in the Strip District as a barista.
Sabra Khoujmal
Administrative Assistant
Sabra Khoujmal graduated from Community College of Allegheny County in 2019 with a certificate in Drug and Alcohol. She also holds an Associate of Psychology from CCAC. Sabra is a resident of Allentown and her children participate in our programming. Sabra is energized by engaging with our community through the many events and programs we hold. In Sabra's free time, she enjoys bargain shopping, often finding deals for herself and neighbors.
Anaïs Hussian
Community Chaplain
Anais is a United Methodist Deacon, ordained to a ministry of Word, Service, Compassion, and Justice. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in psychology and religious studies from the University of Pittsburgh, and a Master of Divinity from Claremont School of Theology. Anais has experience working with people with disabilities, in a local church setting, as a jail chaplain and advocate, and supporting people navigating their return home after incarceration. She is passionate about listening to and honoring people’s stories, and helping them navigate their personal and spiritual journey at all ages and stages of life. In her free time, Anais enjoys hiking, baking and doing Zumba.
Roy Blankenship III
Program Assistant
Roy Blankenship III is a graduate of Brashear High School, Class of 2022, and a Pittsburgh native. Roy started with Abiding Missions in 2022 as a junior counselor for the after school program. Following a great year, Roy stepped into the role of Program Assistant. He is currently studying at CCAC to attain a Software Development Associate's Degree with plans to complete a Bachelor's Degree following CCAC. Roy dreams of working for Google, but will always have a piece of himself at Abiding Missions. In his free time, Roy is an avid gamer and enjoys watching anime.
